Provider checklist — Laos

Ask these questions in writing before you book. A reputable provider will answer them clearly. Evasion or vague responses are a red flag.
- (Elephant programs) Does the program allow ANY tourist contact (riding, bathing, training)?
- What's the local-partner-school accreditation with the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports?
- What's the visa basis — Tourist visa vs Business visa or Volunteer visa?
- What's the UXO-safety briefing for any rural placement?
