Ask these questions in writing before you book. A reputable provider will answer them clearly. Evasion or vague responses are a red flag.
- Is the wildlife project registered with KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) and what's the conservation methodology?
- What's the local-staff-to-volunteer ratio on the project?
- What's your protocol if I'm asked to do something that violates animal welfare standards?
